Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

Shelley plans to enclose the patio with fencing.

The Part to be fenced is the perimeter of the patio-Length of the patio which is along the side of house

As we can see that:

Length of patio=12 meters (4 square grids=4×3=12)

width of patio=6 meters  (2 square grids=2×3=6)

Since, patio is in shape of rectangle hence,

Perimeter of patio=2(12+6)

                             = 36 meters

Total part to be fenced=36-12

                                     =24 meters

Cost of fencing 1 meter=$ 5

Cost of fencing 24 meters=$ (5×24)

                                         = $ 120

Hence, cost to enclose the patio is:

$ 120

$120 because the fencing of the patio would use up eight squares and each square in the picture is 3 meters so we would need 24 meters of fencing to cover up the entire patio. Since it cost $5 for one meter, 5*24 is $120.

Chase buys a bag of cookies that contains 6 chocolate chip cookies, 6 peanut butter cookies, 6 sugar cookies and 6 oatmeal cooki
Over [174]

Answer:

0.0652173

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

6 chocolate chip cookies

6 peanut butter cookies

6 sugar cookies

6 oatmeal cookies

Total number of cookies purchased = (6+6+6+6) = 24

Probability, P= required outcome /total possible outcomes

This is a selection without replacement probability problem :

P(peanut butter cookies) = 6/24 = 1/4

Then ;

P(chocolate chip cookie) = 6/23

Hence,

P(peanut butter cookies then chocolate chip cookie) = 1/4 * 6/23 = 0.0652173
