I could be really wrong in this question but for this one u have to subtract the wanted total for the week $1075 subtracted by what he earns in a week $500
1075-500=$575
so a commission is basically the percentage you make for yourself from whatever you sold, so if Maxwell wants $575 extra and he can only get that by getting 3% of whatever the amount of what he sells so you can make an equation as such, 575=x*.03
now if you divide .03 from both sides then you get an equation to find x which is the amount he has to sell in order to make $575.
so after you divide 575/.03 you are supposed to get this number $19166.67 rounder to the nearest hundredth.
so the answer is that he has to sell $19166.67 worth of merchandise in order to achieve that $1075 a week.

Hopefully that helped you out and is the right answer!!! <span />

To compute a student's Grade Point Average (GPA) for a term, the student's grades for each course are weighted by the number of
postnew [5]

Answer:

The student's GPA for that term is 3.07

Step-by-step explanation:

So this is a problem where we need to compute a weighted arithmetic mean.

To compute the weighted arithmetic mean of a set, we need to multiply each value of the set by their respective weight, add them, and then divide by the sum of the weights.

I will write the set in a {V,W} way, where V is the value(the grade) and W is the weight of V.

So your set G will be

G = {{3.8, 5}, {1.8,3}, {3.1,5}, {3.1,5}}.

Multiplying each value by it's respective weigth and then adding, we have:

3.8*5 + 1.8*3 + 3.1*5 + 3.1*5 = 19 + 5.4 + 15.5 + 15.5 = 55.4

The sum of the weigths is 5 + 3 + 5 + 5 = 18

So the student's GPA for that term, rounded to two decimal places, is: 55.4/18 = 3.07

Solve for x: 3(x + 1) = −2(x − 1) − 4.
Vlad [161]

Answer:

Multiply the first bracket by 3

Multiply the second bracket by -2

3x+3=-2x+2-4

3x+2x+3=-2x-2   negative (-) number and positive number (+)= negative number

Just rearranging

5x+3=-2

5x+3-3=-2-3

5x=-5

Dividing by 5

5x/5=-5/5

x=-1

Check answer by using substitution method

3(-1+1)=-2(-1-1)-4

0=-2(-2)-4 negative number and negative number = positive number

0=4-4

0=0

Answer is x=-1

How to find the area of a square ABC D
____ [38]

Answer:

The answer to your question is 13 u²

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the small triangle is surrounded by right triangles so we can use the Pythagorean theorem to find the lengths  of the small triangle

                 AD² = 3² + 2²

Simplify

                 AD² = 9 + 4

                 AD² = 13

                 AD = \sqrt{13}

Find the area of the square

Area = side x side

Area = AD x AD

Area = \sqrt{13} x \sqrt{13}

Area = 13 u²
