fine without genetic variation, like whiptail lizards. Some species are all
female clones of each-other. Not terribly important in the short run. </span> Cells don't last forever, and
they eventually need to be replaced, but then, so does the lion. is important because different
proteins are needed for different tasks. HOWEVER, most important of all is the
use and production of DNA so that the cell can make those proteins so Cells
are constantly producing usable energy in the form of ATP.<span> </span>
The answer is mitochondria because this is the super producer of cell systems. while an active animal, (squirrel, rodents, horses, deer etc.) are all prey items for preditors, they possess more energy to survive & escape danger...
