Hey!

-----------------------------------------------

Solution:

So he got a 20% profit on $1.20.

20% of 1.20 → 0.2 x 1.20 → 0.24

Same thing goes with 20% loss.

20% of 1.20 → 0.2 x 1.20 → 0.24

-----------------------------------------------

Answer:

On the sale of the pipes, he gained a profit of $0.24 and lost a profit of $0.24, so the sale is (a) broke even.

-----------------------------------------------

Hope This Helps :)

Mario has LaTeX: 2\frac{1}{4}2 1 4 pounds of trail mix. He puts equal amounts of the trail mix into 6 bags for a hike with his f
ioda

Answer:

<h2><em>0.375 pounds </em></h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the amount of trail mix in each bag be x pounds. If Mario has 2\frac{1}{4} pounds of trail mix and puts equal amounts of the trail mix into 6 bags for a hike with his friends, the amount of trail mix in each bag can be derives using the expression;

2\frac{1}{4} = 6 * x

solving for x

\dfrac{9}{4} = 6x\\\\2.25 = 6x\\\\divide\ both \ sides \ by \ 6\\\\\dfrac{2.25}{6} = \dfrac{6x}{6} \\\\x = 0.375\\

<em>Hence 0.375 pounds of trail mix will be in each bag</em>

So you need to put both the equation in the y equals if you have a graphing calculator

Then you compare the two equation

f(x) is an decay and g(x) is growth

For choice one and three, the answer choice doesn't make sense leaving you with two and four as the only ones.

Since f(x) is a decay, it cant be choice four either leaving choice 2 as the final answer

This makes sense because g(x) is a growth

I hope this helps!
