Answer:

The length is 23\ m and the breadth is 9\ m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ----> the length of a rectangular campsite

y ----> the breadth of a rectangular campsite

we know that

The perimeter of a rectangle is equal to

P=2(x+y)

P=64\ m

so

64=2(x+y)

32=(x+y)

y=32-x ------> equation A

The area of a rectangle is equal to

A=xy

A=207\ m^{2}

so

207=xy -----> equation B

substitute equation A in equation B

207=x(32-x)\\\\207=32x-x^{2}\\\\x^{2}-32x+207=0

Solve the quadratic equation by graphing

The solution is x=23\ m ( I assume that the length is  greater than the breadth)

see the attached figure

Find the value of y

y=32-23=9\ m

therefore

The length is 23\ m and the breadth is 9\ m

A sixth number will be added to the list. What must it be in order for the mean to be 12?
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

16

Step-by-step explanation:

7+16+11+12+10= 56

In order to find the 6th number, you must multiply 12 and 6.

12*6= 72

72-56= 16

Double check your work:

7+16+11+12+10+16= 72

72/6= 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Group like terms together

1. 2.4 m + \left( - 125 + 92.4 \right) + 1.8 b2.4m+(−125+92.4)+1.8b

2 . Add or subtract the numbers

2.4 m- 32.6 + 1.8 b2.4m−32.6+1.8b

Answer:

box 1=4

20/5= 4 (if you divide the others by x and y they equal 4)

box 2=512

if every square mile has 4 squirrels. then you multiply 128×4=512
