C) 7g - 3=42
All the other ones give the correct value of g except 7g-3=42 because the value of g is 9.

Answer:

C. 7g – 3 = 42

Step-by-step explanation:

If she pays $7 for each guest and totally paid 42$. Then, she can bring 42/7 = 6 guests with payment. She can also bring 3 guests for free. In total, she can bring 6+3 = 9, g must be 9. When you look at the choices, all the others satisfy this except C 7g – 3 = 42.

Ann Clair and josh collect sticker one week Ann collects 7 more sticker then josh josh collect twice as many stickers as Claire.
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

  • Ann: 67
  • Clair: 30
  • Josh: 60

Step-by-step explanation:

If we let A, C, and J represent the number of stickers collected by Ann, Clair, and Josh. respectively, then we have the relations ...

  A = J +7

  J = 2C

  A + C + J = 157

__

Substituting the first equation into the last, we have ...

  J +7 + C + J = 157

  C +2J = 150 . . . . . . . collect terms, subtract 7

Substituting the second equation into this one, we have ...

  C +2(2C) = 150

  C = 150/5 = 30 . . . .  divide by the coefficient of C

  J = 2·30 = 60

  A = 60 +7 = 67

Ann collected 67 stickers, Clair collected 30, and Josh collected 60 stickers.
