How many counting numbers are less than 3 units from the number 4

I'm guessing that by "counting numbers" you're refering to "integers."

Why not actually write out the numbers that qualify, and then count them?

{2, 3, 5, 6} is a set of four numbers, all of which are fewer than 3 units away from the (central) number 4.  Some people would include 4 itself in this set.

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

The answers essentially mean; when x (x-axis) is approaching negative infinity (2nd is the positive infinity side), f(x) (y) is approaching (negative or positive infinity (up or down) on the y-axis).

If one leg of a right triangle is 6 units and the other leg is 8 units, what is the length of the hypotenuse. {in units}
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

c=10 units

Step-by-step explanation:

The Pythagorean Theorem states that a^2+b^2=c^2.

This means that the sides are represented by a^2+b^2. In order to find the hypotenuse in this problem, we substitute a and b for 6 and 8.

6^2+8^2=c^2

we do what it shows us and get:

36+64=c^2

from there, we add the left side altogether then square each side to get rid of the root.

100=c^2

√100=√c^2

and we get c =<em> 10 units.</em>

In □PQRS side PQ∥ side RS. If m∠P = 108degree
natka813 [3]

<h2>Given :-</h2>

In □PQRS side PQ∥ side RS. If m∠P = 108degree

and m∠R = 53degree

<h2>To Find :-</h2>

m∠Q and m∠S.

<h2>Solution :-</h2>

According to angle sum property

P∠Q=180−∠P

∠Q=180−108

\boxed{\sf{\angle Q = 72°}}

For angle S

∠S=180−∠R

∠S=180−53

\boxed{\sf {\angle S = 127°}}
