The mean is the average. To calculate it you divide the sum all of all the numbers by the number of numbers.

220/8=27.5
The mean is 27.5.

The range is how spread out the data is (in terms of the least and greatest). To calculate it we will find the difference between the greatest and smallest numbers.

39-19=20
The range is 20.

Therefore, our answer is D.
