Hi there!

There are a few rules for multiplying positive and negative numbers:

-Any negative number times a negative number is a positive.
-Any positive number times a negative number is a negative.
-Any negative number times a positive number is a negative.
-Any positive number times a positive number is a positive.

So, using these rules, let's work through the multiplication:

-19 is a negative, and multiply by +2, would be a <u>negative</u>.
Multiply a negative by +37, and you still have a <u>negative</u>.
Multiply a negative by -0.8, and you will have a <u>positive</u>.
Multiply a positive with -112, and you will get a <u>negative.

So, your answer would be a negative number.

</u>Hope this helps!

How did the π invented?
Sloan [31]

Answer:

The ancient Babylonians calculated the area of a circle by taking 3 times the square of its radius, which gave a value of pi = 3.  The first calculation of π was done by Archimedes of Syracuse (287–212 BC), one of the greatest mathematicians of the ancient world.

Mario is setting up a new tent during a camping trip. The tent came with 7 feet of rope. The instructions are to use 34.5 inches
nevsk [136]

Answer: There are 6 sections of  8\frac{1}{4}\ inches  of rope Mario can cut from the rope .

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Length of the rope for the tent = 7 feet

As we know that

1\ feet=12\ inches\\\\7\ feet=12\times 7=84\ inches

Length of rope is used to tie a tarp on top of the tent = 34.5 inches

Remaining length of rope is given by

84-34.5=49.5\ inches

According to question, the remaining rope should be cut into

8\frac{1}{4}\ inches\\\\=\frac{33}{4}\ inches

So, Number of  8\frac{1}{4}\ inches sections of rope Mario can cut from the rope is given by

\frac{49.5}{8\frac{1}{4}}\\\\=\frac{49.5}{\frac{33}{4}}\\\\=\frac{49.5\times 4}{33}\\\\=6

Hence, there are 6 sections of 8\frac{1}{4}\ inches rope Mario can cut from the rope .

Classify each pair of numbered angles.
Ksju [112]

Answer:

Angles 1 & 2 are vertical angles, and angles 3 & 4 are adjacent angles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Vertical angles are angles across from each other. Adjacent angles are always beside each other.

It's not a linear pair because a linear pair is adjacent angles that add up to 180°, which is not true for your 2 angles in the picture. Hope this helps!!!
