Photosynthesis: The process which is used by organisms and plants to convert light energy to chemical energy. This process, takes in the carbon dioxide which is produced by the organisms and adds oxygen again in the atmosphere.

Sedimentation: This process is used for the treatment of water by using to remove suspended solid particles or unwanted particles from water.

Respiration: The process in which intake of oxygen occurs and release of carbon dioxide takes place.

Evaporation: The process in which liquid state changes into gaseous state.

Hence, according to the definition of respiration, due to this process only carbon dioxide is adds to the atmosphere.

Thus, respiration is the correct answer.

What is reduced and what is oxidized in the reaction between a monosaccharide and a ferric ion?
Furkat [3]

In the reaction between a monosaccharide and a ferric ion, The carbonyl carbon is oxidized to a carboxyl group, the cupric ion is reduced.

Chemical reactions often involve color changes, temperature changes, gas evolution, or precipitate formation. Simple examples of everyday reactions are digestion, combustion, and cooking. A physical reaction is a reaction in which a change in matter or physical properties of matter occurs. Physical properties include density, mass, and volume. The definition of a physical reaction is a reaction in which molecules undergo molecular rearrangements but do not change chemically.

As the name suggests, simple reactants form or synthesize more complex products. The basic form of a synthetic reaction is A + B → AB. A simple example of a synthetic reaction is the formation of water from its elements hydrogen and oxygen: 2 H2(g) + O2(g) → 2 H2O(g)9 May 2019

Which of the compounds below will dissociate in water? Check all that apply.
Mazyrski [523]

The compounds that can dissociate in water from the options given below are;

Ba(NO3)2

CaSO4

Mg3(PO4)2

What is dissociation of compounds?

Dissociation of compound is the process by which compounds degraded into smaller unit which can also recombine to form larger one in another condition.

When ionic compounds dissociate in water, the water molecules separate the ionic crystal. This is because of the attraction between the positive and negative ions in the crystal.

Therefore, The following compounds dissociate in water.

Ba(NO3)2

CaSO4

Mg3(PO4)2

I JUST FINISHED THIS QUESTION AND IT SAID THAT THE ANSWER WAS -3.72 kJ SO PUT THAT DOWN AS YOUR ANSWER....I'm not sure why the answer is negative, but this is the most work I can show. If any one knows, why this answer is negative, please advise. Thank you. I hope that this helps :)
