A) For equations to be parallel, they must have the same slope, which is m in the equations y=mx+b. So if we make m equal to 1, two equations are y=x+5 and y=x-1.

B) For equations to be perpendicular, they must have negative reciprocal slopes. So if one equation has a slope of 2, the other would have the slope of -1/2. So two equations are y=2x-1 and y=-1/2x.

Hope this helps

Kyra was at soccer practice. she blocked 55% of the goals that were kicked at her during a team drill. ashley scored two of the
Minchanka [31]

Total kicks that were attempted = 40

Goals blocked by Kyra = 55%;

Goals which could not be blocked by Kyra = 100 - 55 = 45%

Goals made during team drill = 18

Let total kicks attempted be 'n';

Therefore;

(18/n) × 100 % = 45 %

18/n = 45/100;

n = 1800/45;

n = 40
