Hi there!

Use th' following formula
To find the distance between each pair of pts. :-

\sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}

According to th' question :-

♦ (-2, -2) (-2, 10) :--

\sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}

\sqrt{(-2 + 2)^2 + (10 + 2)^2}

\sqrt{0^2 + 12^2}

\sqrt{12^2} = \sqrt{144} = 12

Therefore,
distance between the following pts. is 12 units.

♦ (-5.3, -2.2) (-5.3, -8.7) :--

\sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}

\sqrt{(-5.3 + 5.3)^2 + (-8.7 + 2.2)^2}

\sqrt{0^2 + (-6.5)^2}

\sqrt{-6.5^2} = \sqrt{42.25} = 6.5

Therefore,
distance between th' following pts. is 6.5 units.

~ Hope it helps!

\sf Hello!

\sf To\: calculate\: the\: distance,
\sf We\: have :-

\sf \sqrt{(x_{2} - x_{1})^2 + (y_{2} - y_{1})^2}

Then,

(i) \sf (-2, -2) and (-2, 10) :

⇒ \sf \sqrt{(-2 + 2)^{2} + (10 + 2)^{2}}

⇒ \sf \sqrt{0^{2} + 12^{2}}

⇒ \sqrt{144} = \sf 12

\sf Therefore,
\sf The\: distance\: is\: 12 \:units.

(ii) \sf (-5.3, -2.2) and (-5.3, -8.7)

⇒ \sf \sqrt{(-5.3 + 5.3)^{2} + (-8.7 + 2.2)^{2}}

⇒ \sf \sqrt{0^{2} + (-6.5)^{2}}

⇒ \sqrt{ 42.25} = \sf 6.5

\sf Therefore,
\sf The\: distance\: is\: 6.5 \:units.

the temper ire of chicken soup is 192.7 F as it cools the temperature of the soup decreases 2.3 what is the temperature of the s
ad-work [718]

The temperature of soup after 25 minutes is 135.2^{\circ}\ F

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

The temperature of chicken soup is 192.7°F

As it cools, the temperature of the soup decreases 2.3°F per minute

Let the initial temperature be T_0

Let "t" be the time for rate of decrease

Set up an equation

Temperature = Initial temperature - decrease in temperature

Decrease in temperature = rate of decrease x time

Therefore,

T = T_0-2.3t

<em><u>To find the temperature of soup after 25 minutes, substitute t = 25</u></em>

T = 192.7 - 2.3 (25)\\\\T = 192.7 -57.5\\\\T = 135.2

Thus the temperature of soup after 25 minutes is 135.2^{\circ}\ F

Please help me find the nth term of this sequence 0, 3, 8, 15, 24
Setler [38]

Answer:

80

Step-by-step explanation:

0,   3,   8,   15,   24,  <u>35,</u>   <u>48,</u>   <u>63,</u>  <u>80</u> which is the nth term

first step you have to find how many steps the sequence was going with.

examples= from 0 to 3 the steps were 3

                =from 3 to 8 the steps were 5

                = from 8 to 15 the steps were 7

you will recognize that the steps the sequence is going with is odd numbers.

so you will use the odd numbers until you find what you need. which leads you to 80 which is the nth number in the sequence.
