What reason do Sections 14 and 32 give for repealing the Missouri Compromise of 1820?

The Missouri Compromise of 1820 admitted Maine as a "free" state and Missouri as a "slave" state. As part of the deal, slavery will be, from then on, prohibited north of parallel 36°30', with the exception of the state of Missouri which was located north of that parallel.

Section 14 of the Constitution states that all citizens of the United States are subject to the jurisdiction of the country. Therefore, no other state may enforce a law that may limit the privileges provided by the being a citizen of the country. The compromise is clearly making a difference between the privileges of citizens of the country according to the place they live.

Section 32 of the Constitution states that no person is entitled to a different set of emoluments (or payments he receives for the work he or she does) than those from the community he lives. The Missouri compromise also goes against this enactment due to the fact that slaves are clearly getting separate forms of payment.

Which of the following would be an example of learning (according to the definition)?
Yuri [45]

Answer:

a. After practicing, Andy now rides his bicycle without training wheels.

Explanation:

According to my research "learning" is defined as "the acquisition of knowledge of skills through study, experience, or being taught". This being the case the only example given that would land under the classification of learning would be a. After practicing, Andy now rides his bicycle without training wheels. This is because this is the only example were someone is practicing in order to gain a new skill. The rest of the examples are caused by either instinct or other variables but not from learning.

AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

Referent power

Explanation:

In psychology, referent power refers to a type of power that comes from the leader's capacity to influence and inspire his followers. Therefore, a group of people end up following the leader's example and acting the way he/she does.

In this example, the Seminal Ballet Dancers consists in aspiring dancers. New members mirror the attitudes and behaviors of other members as doing so makes them fit with the group. We can see that the other members are influencing and inspiring the new younger members to behave like them and the younger ones end up following their example. Thus, this would be an example of Referent power.
