PLEASE HELP ASAPPP!!! 15PT QUESTION!!! Suppose that a ball is rolling down a ramp. The distance traveled by the ball is given by

the function s(t), where t is the time, in seconds, after the ball is released, and s(t) is measured in feet. For given function, find the ball’s average velocity from t1 to t2. s(t)=11t^2; t1=6, t2=6.5

Answer:

The average velocity of the ball is 137.5 \:ft/sec

Step-by-step explanation:

First find the velocities at given times and then form two points. Calculate the slope to find the average velocity. The two points are:

\left(6,\:396\right)\quad and \quad \:\left(6.5,\:464.75\right)

\mathrm{Slope}=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{464.75-396}{6.5-6}

m=137.5

Simultaneous Equations: Find the two intersects of x^2 + y^2 = 25 and y = 2x - 2
Yakvenalex [24]
X^2 + y^2 = 25 (1)
y = 2x - 2 (2)

Subs (2) into (1)

x^2 + (2x - 2)^2 = 25
• Expand the eq like below

x^2 + (2x-2)(2x-2) = 25

x^2 + 4x^2 + 4x - 4x + 4 = 25
• Cancel out 4x-4x which is equals to zero

5x^2 = 25
• Divide both sides with 5

x^2 = 5
• To remove the square (^2) on the x, you need to square root both sides

x = 5 or x = -5

Subs x = 5 and x = -5 into (2)

y = 2x - 2
y = 2(5) - 2 = 10 - 2 = 8

y = 2x - 2
y = 2(-5) - 2 = -10 - 2 = -12

Therefore the intersection points are:

x=5, y= 8
x= -5, y= -12

Plz help...............
LenKa [72]
The answer would be 2.

To get from one point to the other, you go up 6 and over 3.
so you would divide 6/3 and since the slope is increasing from he left to the right, its a positive slope meaning positive number.
so 6/3=2.

Hope this helps! :D

What is the area of the figure shown below
bonufazy [111]

____________________________________________________

Answer:

Your answer would be 90 in²

____________________________________________________

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the area of a shape like this, we would want to spit the figure into smaller pieces, then add the different areas all together. This would make the problem more simpler.

To do this, we must find the different areas for this different pieces.

Lets split them up by having the rectangle as one piece, and the triangles as separate pieces.

We could find the area of the rectangle, since the numbers 6 (width) and 12 (length) is already there. To solve this, we would use the area of a rectangle equation "length × width"

6× 12 = 72

72 would be the area for the rectangle.

Now, we need to find the area of the triangles.

We already have the height of the triangle, we just need to find the base of it.

To find the base, we would use the number "12" below. You see how the base of the traingle is half of the line that's "12?" That shows us that the base of the traingle would be half of 12, and that would be 6.

Now to find the area of the triangle, you would multiply \frac{1}{2}b×h

\frac{1}{2}(6)(3) = 9

Since there is another triangle that is exactly the same, the rea of that triangle would be the same.

Now, we would ad all the areas together:

72 + 9 + 9 = 90

Your FINAL answer would be 90 in²
