I think the answer is b 0.2(20)

The correct answer is actually B.

Why?

20% is 0.2 in decimal form.

Estimate $22.50, and you get 20.

So, the estimate for the discount is B) 0.2(20)

Hope this helps! And if it does, please give me a Brainliest :)

Btw, took the test, and my answer is right, not sure it'll be for anyone who is seeing this too :(

A rectangle has a length that is increasing at a rate of 10 mm per second with the width being held constant. What is the rate o
NISA [10]

Answer:

the rate of change of the area is Ra= 80 mm² per second

Step-by-step explanation:

the area of a rectangle (A) is

A = L * W , L= length and W= width

if the width remains constant the change in the area is only due to the change in length , thus:

ΔA = Δ( L * W ) = W * ΔL , where ΔA represents the change in area and ΔL represents the change in length

ΔA = W ΔL

denoting Δt as the time required to change, and dividing both sides by Δt

ΔA/Δt = W ΔL/Δt

where Ra=ΔA/Δt = rate of change of the area and RL=ΔL/Δt rate of change of the length.

thus

Ra = W * RL

replacing values

Ra = W * RL = 8 mm * 10 mm/second = 80 mm² /second

Compound interest of $1000 is invested at 10% compounded continuously, the future value s at any time t in years is given by s=1
crimeas [40]

Answer: 6.93 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Rate of interest is r=10\%

Future value is given by s=1000e^{0.1t}

For the investment to double itself, i.e. s=2000

\Rightarrow 2000=1000e^{0.1t}\\\Rightarrow 2=e^{0.1t}\\\\\text{Taking log both sides}\\\\\Rightarrow \ln 2=0.1t\\\\\Rightarrow t=\dfrac{\ln 2}{0.1}\\\\\Rightarrow t=6.93\ \text{years}

It takes around 6.93 years to double the investment.

  • B^{C} denotes the complement of set B, which is the set of all elements that are in the universal set that are not in set B. In this case, this set is \{3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, 13, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28\}
