Cells are created from existing cells is the part of the cell theory which explains why the skin is able to repair itself. The body produces 300 million new cells every day. After getting a cut or scratch, the skin may start bleeding. This happens when the injury tears down the tiny blood vessels that is found under the skin’s surface. The body wants to stop the bleeding so the platelets will come to the rescue.

At the cut, platelets stick together. This is how the blood clots which then become a scab. This protects the area so the cells underneath it can have the time to heal. Beneath the scab, new skin cells multiply to repair the wound. Damaged blood vessels are restored and blood cells end the infection in the wound. And also, under the scab, a new skin layer is formed.

Which choice ranks the elements hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen in order of decreasing dry mass in human cells a. O→C→H→N
True [87]

Answer: The order of decreasing dry mass in human cells is C→O→H→N

Explanation:

Dry mass of the element in human cells means the mass of elements which have lost all the water.

Human cells consist of many chemical elements. Some of them are: Carbon (C), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), calcium (Ca), sulfur (S), potassium (K), sodium (Na), chlorine (Cl), magnesium (Mg) and many more.

Most abundant element found in the human cells is carbon.

The composition of the dry mass of the elements in human cells are:

Carbon = 47 %

Oxygen = 30 %

Hydrogen = 9 %

Nitrogen = 8 %

Phosphorus = 3 %

Sulfur + Potassium + Calcium + Sodium + Chlorine + Magnesium = 2 %

Other elements = 1 %

The decreasing order of dry mass of elements in human cells is:

C>O>N>H

Hence, the order of decreasing dry mass in human cells is C→O→H→N

nataly862011 [7]

The cavity which separate or in between the nose and the mouth is the nasal cavity.

The nose and the mouth meet at a junction called the pharnx; option A

What is nasal cavity?

The nasal cavity refers to a large, air-filled space above and behind the nose in the middle of the face. It is the cavity which divides the nose and mouth.

However, the nasal septum divides the cavity into two cavities .

 • The larynx is the passageway for air between the pharynx above and the trachea below.

 • The pharynx carries air, food and fluid down from the nose and mouth.

So therefore, the cavity which separate or in between the nose and the mouth is the nasal cavity.
