Answer:

Internal fixation is a type of fixation of a fracture usually is not removed after the fracture has healed.

Explanation:

When a bone is fractured, it should be immediately stabilized to allow full recovery.

Internal Fixation is a orthopedic surgical procedure which involves stabilization of the broken bones internally by using screws, plates, wires, and nails. This also reduces the incidence of malunion (fracture did not heal in right position), nonunion (fracture did not heal properly) and possibility of earlier functional rehabilitation. The implants used in internal fixation are usually made from stainless steel and titanium, same as those found airplane parts.

How can you support a friend who is dealing with grief?
jok3333 [9.3K]
A wouldn't help, it just bottles up their feelings, even more, hurting them in the end worse. Medication can't always be the answer, and you can help with everyday errands, and refer them to a hospice depending on how much this grief is deteriorating their mental health. Based off of where they are mentally, all of these would be a good idea, except A. Help them talk about their stresses but only if they are comfortable with it.

I don't know if this is for homework, or for personal reasons. This answer only really helps with personal reasons.

Aliun [14]

Answer:

Instances for which a staff member needs to report an occurrence directly to a manager include which of the following: A. An RN is diverting drugs; C. A patient reports that a male LVN made a sexual advance toward her; D. A nurse sees a gun in another staff member's locker at work.

Explanation:

A staff member needs to report the cases mentioned in A, C and D directly to a manager because all those situations are a risk and put lives in danger. In situation B, when a patient complains about the poor care received on the prior shift may be report to another member who is not the manager. It is an important situation to report, though is not so complicated as the prior mentioned. Diverting drugs is an inappropriate behaviour, such as a sexual advance to a patient or carring a gun to the work place. These situations must be reported to a manager.
