Biology

Short answer - Alot!
Its pretty hard to count how much germs a dog has, "germ" is just a widely known term for bad bacteria, which infects spreads and repeats with whatever it touches. The amount of bacteria would depend on many things, if the dog is sick, if it just went to the dog park, if it was just bathed, and if it recently ate. This is any type of bacteria of course not just bad, There's bacteria in your stomach right now, helping you digest any food. The point is though, is that the germs a dog has is like asking how many stars are in each galaxy , you can only give an estimation, but it will always be affected by the condition of the galaxy, or in the case the dog.

Osteoporosis is a condition in which the density of bones is decreased so much that the individual is at a higher risk of fractu
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

A) Calcitonin injection

Explanation:

Parafollicular cells or C-cells of the thyroid gland produce a hormone which is involved in the regulation of calcium levels in the blood. This hormone is Calcitonin. It works in an antagonistic manner with the Parathyroid hormone (PTH). Calcitonin decreases the calcium level in the blood by increasing absorption of calcium ions in bones. In osteoporosis, when the patient is given the injection of hormone calcitonin, it produces and increase in bone mass because it negatively affects the rate of absorption of bone by the osteoclasts.

How does a whale-fall community affect ocean sediment?
Leokris [45]

The decomposition of the whale enriches the sediment.

When a whale dies, it falls to the ocean floor. Its dead body is known as whale-fall. This whale-fall provides nutrients for a whale-fall community, which includes bacteria, crabs, worms and other invertebrates. Organic fragments from the whale-fall enrich the sediments nearby. Enrichment opportunists colonize the whalebone and surrounding sediment in order to feed on these organic fragments.

A microbiologist obtained two pure biological samples: one of a virus, and the other of a viroid. Unfortunately, the labels had
USPshnik [31]

The researcher could look for the presence of proteins, because viruses have a envelope (capsid) composed of proteins that involve their genetic material. The capsid may have a helical or icosahedral structure and is extremely regular. Viroids cannot synthesize any type of protein, so differentiation is possible.

Explanation:

Amylase is a digestive enzyme secreted and is responsible for breaking down starch.

Digestion describes the intake, chemical and physical breakdown, absorption of nutrients and excretion of food. Alpha amylase, an enzyme produced in the pancreas, is found in human saliva; it catalyzes the breakdown of starch into glucose

Further Explanation:

Food is chemically and mechanically broken down into into smaller particles. This begins in the mouth, where food is mechanically crushed by the teeth, and mixed with saliva to allow water based enzymes like lingual lipase and amylase to work;- it's then transported to the stomach via the esophagus.

Alpha amylase, an enzyme produced in the pancreas, is also found in human saliva; it catalyzes the hydrolysis, or breakdown of starch into glucose in the stomach as gastric amylase. Amylase acts on polysaccharides bonds at random points along the chain by splitting the α 1-4 glycosidic bonds.
