kotykmax [81]

Answer:

Bacteria that metabolize NO2- to give rise to NH4+ belongs to the family of denitrifying bacteria and nitrate ammonification bacteria such as pseudomonas.

Explanation:

Denitrifying bacteria uses NO2- as electron aceeptor thus converting the nitrite ion (NO2-) to ammonium ion(NH4+).

              a) The above reaction is a reduction reaction because NO2- or nitrite ion accept electron to generated its reduced form known as ammonium(NH4+).

             b) NO2- acting as electron acceptor in this reaction.

As blood pressure increases and the hearts is working harder the most vulnerable arteries area? Located near the heart, because
KIM [24]

As blood pressure increases and the hearts is working harder the most vulnerable arteries area are those Located near the heart, because they are absorbing the most shock.

Explanation:

When the heart pumps blood, the highest pressure is felt close to the heart. This is why the aorta, the artery that carries blood away from the heart is made up of thick walls to withstand this pressure, otherwise, these vessels would rupture. Away from the heart, this pressure lessens, and the blood vessels are not so thick-walled.

How do animal cells, Plant cells, freshwater protists, and
Romashka [77]

Answer:

Plant cells deal with osmosis by being enclosed in a cell wall.

Animal cells use active transport systems to deal with the problem of osmosis.

Fresh water protists have contractile vacuoles to deal with osmosis.

Many bacteria have cell wall to protect them from osmosis.

Explanation:

Plant cells have a rigid cell wall. If a plant cell is places in a place where the conditions are hypotonic, then the cell will tale up water by osmosis but the cell wall will prevent it from bursting. This condition is termed as the cell being 'turgid'.

As animal cells do not have the rigid cell wall, they use the mechanism of active transport system to stop the cell from bursting during osmosis. In this process, ions are moved out of the cell so that the pressure in the cell due to osmosis can be reduced.

Fresh water protists have a structure present in them called as the contractile vacuole. The contractile vacuole has the capability to remove any excess water from the cell as well storing water if there is not enough water.

Bacteria have peptidoglycan cell walls to prevent osmosis.
