Answer:

a) 60%

b) $1240

c) $744

Step-by-step explanation:

a. the company's percentage %

If Jack pays 40%, the company pays the other 60%

b. the total premium $

Jack payment is 40% of the total. 40% of the total is 496. So:

0.4x = 496

x = \frac{496}{0.4}

x = 1240

The total premium is $1240.

c. the company's payment $

The company payment is 60% of 1240. So 0.6*1240 = 744.

You have a bag of chocolate candy . ten of them are red,7 are brown,12 are green, and 9 are blue . what is the probability that
Lerok [7]
I believe the answer to your question is 10/37.
The total of candies inside the bag was initially 38. Since a blue candy has already been picked and cannot be picked and cannot be replaced then the total number of candy remaining in the bag is 37. So the probability of choosing a red candy is now 10/37

How do you do these problems
Elden [556K]

Well for the first one, that is presumably a straight line and straight lines all have 180 degrees. So you add 61 and 23 to get 84 and subtract that from 180. You then get 96 degree.

For the second one corresponding angles on a transversal are congruent so x+95=4x-10 and then you solve the equation.;

For the third one you need to make the change from 9 to 12 be the same as the change from 3 to t. 9 to 12 is 4/3 so 3 times 4/3 is 4. t=4
