Evaluate the functino means what is the output/result when you put in a certain input

another way is if you have the graph, then find where the input equal the solution

so we have x=-2
 basically we have to find the y value that coresponds with that x value
so we draw a horizontal line at the point x=-2 and find the height/y value
it looks to be 3 units high

therefor the solution is y=3 or D

easy, just find the coresonding y value (theh coresponding y value is below the x value)

so we see that the number 5 is below the 3 in the x row
therefor the answer is 5

look at the graph and go 2 units right
now go up and down intill you reach a point at 6 height
y=height=6
the answe ris y=6

so go -4 units right or 4 units left (same thing) and see where that is on the line
it seems to be -1 units up or 1 unit down
therefor y=height=-1

y=-1

look at the time line and see where it says 7 weeks

now go up and estimate how hight that point is
it seems to be between 40 and 45 but closer to 40 so esteimat 41,42
42 is an answer shoice so that is the answer
D is answer

ANSWERS

D
5
y=6
y=-1

Number 1 is D because if you look at the graph, the y for x=-2 is 3.Number 2 is 5 because if you look at the table in the 3rd column the x=3 and beneath it the y=5.Number 3 is the y is 6 because if you look at the graph, the x is 2 and the dot is placed at 2,6.Number 4 is the y is 1 because you place the dots where the line is on the line and on the graph so the x is -4 and the y is 1.Number 5 is D

Find the sum of the first 6 terms in the sequence -5 -25 -125 -625
sashaice [31]
This is a geometric sequence, so use the formula for the sum of a geometric sequence:
Sum = (a(r^n - 1))/(r - 1)
where a is the first term, -5
r is the common ratio, 5
and n is the number of terms

Thus,
Sum = ((-5)(5^6 - 1))/(5-1) = -19530
