Miranda v. Arizona was an important supreme court case. In the case the supreme court ruled that the court cannot accept the defendant's authorities unless the defendant is informed of their right to have attorney during questioning and told that anything they say will be held against him.  

Miranda was arrested for kidnapping a women. The law enforcement official interrogated him, he admitted to the crimes and signed a written confession. during the trial his confession was used against him.<em> After the case police started to give Miranda warning to the suspects who are under custody and being interrogated. </em>
