Answer:

  a) x = {-2, 1, 3} are the zeros

  b) y = (x +2)(x -1)(x -3)

  c) y = x^3 -2x^2 -5x +6

Step-by-step explanation:

a) The zeros are the values of x where the graph crosses y=0. Those values are x = -2, x = 1, x = 3.

__

b) If "a" is a zero, then (x-a) is a factor. The factored polynomial is ...

  y = (x +2)(x -1)(x -3)

__

c) This can be multiplied out using the distributive property several times.

  y = (x +2)(x(x -3) -1(x -3))

  = (x +2)(x^2 -3x -x +3)

  = (x +2)(x^2 -4x +3)

  = x(x^2 -4x +3) +2(x^2 -4x +3)

  = x^3 -4x^2 +3x +2x^2 -8x +6

  y = x^3 -2x^2 -5x +6

_____

The supplied graph apparently scales this vertically by a factor of 1/2, since its y-intercept is at (0, 3), not (0, 6).

Between which pair of consecutive integers does √111 lie
lisabon 2012 [21]
B. 10 and 11
This is because 10x10 is 100, so thats less than what you need and then 11x11 is 121, and that is more than you need... So it would be between 10 and 11.

Montano1993 [528]
I started by figuring out how much interest you get in a month by multiplying 4500 by .01. This gave me $45 as in interest. Then I added the payment fee, $40. 40+45 is 85, so the answer should be d). However, I'm not 100% positive. Somebody verify please? :)
