Answer: 2 and 17/20 mm is the total thickness of the stack.

Step-by-step explanation:

Get the values you need for the dime and the penny from the chart:

dime: 1 and 7/20mm ,  penny: 1 and 1/2mm

Find common denominators for the fractions given in the chart.

20 will work because 1/2  is the same as 10/20.

Add the numerators of the fractions:  7 + 10 = 17  so the fraction will be 17/20

Add the whole numbers 1 + 1 = 2

Put it all together and now you've got  2 and 17/20 mm

an electrician has 4.1 meters of wire. How much stripes 7/10m long can he cut? How much wire will he have left over?
ratelena [41]

Answer:

5 such strips of \frac{7}{10}\ m can be cut and \frac{6}{10}\ m  would be left over.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given is4.1= \frac{41}{10}\ m length of a wire.

We have to cut strips of \frac{7}{10}\ m

If we factorize 41 \ by \ 7

We get 5 full and and \frac{6}{7}

Similarly , if we factorize \frac{41}{10} \ by \ \frac{7}{10}

We get full 5 \ strips and another \frac{6}{10} \ m would be left.

UNO [17]

Answer:

5. f(x) = 10,000 (1.5)^x

Step-by-step explanation:

==>>We would have to multiply the original amount by 1.50^x because the initial amount would be 1, and 50% increase would be .5 so 1.5 and you raise it to the number of years to show the total increase.

  • Let's test it

Initial: 10,000

After 1 year

10,000 + (.5*10000)

10,000 + 5000 = 15,000

--

After 2 years

15,000 + (.5*15000)

15,000 + 7500 = 22,500

--

Let's try our equation.

f(x) = 10,000 (1.5)^x

x=2

10,000(1.5)^2

10,000(2.25) = 22,500

*Edit: I just seen that the question is related to the picture question
