Why do some leaves change color (red, yellow, orange, etc.) in the fall? the chlorophyll molecule breaks down and other pigments

now become visible. the chlorophyll molecule is modified to absorb different wavelengths of light. cold weather denatures the chlorophyll molecule, and it begins to reflect different colors. when leaves die, the chlorophyll molecules are no longer visible?

The chlorophyll breaks down, the green color disappears, and the yellow to orange colors become visible and give the leaves part of their fall splendor. At the same time other chemical changes may occur, which form additional colors through the development of red anthocyanin pigments.
