f(x) = -4x + 1

g(x) = 2x - 3

Set each other equal and solve for x.

-4x + 1 = 2x - 3

-6x = -4

x = 2/3

substitute x into either f or g and solve for y

-4(2/3) + 1

y = -1.667...
