<u><em>Answer: z=24</em></u>

Step-by-step explanation:

switch sides

10+z/-3=2

subtract by 10 both sides of an equation

10+z/-3-10=2-10

simplify

z/-3=-8

multiply -3 both sides of an equation

z(-3)/-3=(-8)(-3)

simplify

parenthesis must be multiply

-8*-3=-24

its going to be change negative to positive.

8*3=24

24/3=8

24/8=3

3*8=24

z=24

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

Have a great day!

KengaRu [80]

Answer:

170.3 miles per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

Javon won Indianapolis 500 race in 2011 with an average speed of 170.265 miles per hour. What was his average speed to the nearest tenth of a mile per hour?

From the above question, we are asked to approximate to the nearest tenth of a mile.

The number that falls under the tenth of a mile, is the number that is immediately after the decimal.

Hence, for:

170.265 miles per hour:

2 is the number in the tenth place, the number after 2 is 6, it is a number that is higher than 5. So we add 1 to 2

Therefore,

170.265 miles per hour to the nearest tenth of a mile = 170.3 miles per hour.

What is the solution of √1-3x=x+3
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

x = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

\sqrt{1-3x}=x+3\\\\1-3x=x^2+6x+9 \qquad\text{square both sides}\\\\x^2+9x+8=0 \qquad\text{put in standard form}\\\\(x+8)(x+1)=0 \qquad\text{factor}\\\\\left \{ {{x=-8} \atop {x=-1}} \right. \qquad\text{values that make the factors zero}

Only the solution x = -1 will work for this equation. The other solution is extraneous.
