Answer:

pH = 2.87

Explanation:

Let us represent uric acid as HA

The dissociation will be:

                     HA ---> H^{+} + A^{-}

Let "x" concentration of HA dissociates so it will give x concentration of hydrogen ion and the conjugate base.

Ka=\frac{[H^{+}][A^{-}]}{[HA]}

pKa = 3.89

Therefore Ka = 0.000129

Putting values

0.000129 = \frac{x^{2} }{(0.014-x)}

on may ignore x in denominator

x = 0.00134 M

[H⁺] = 0.00134

pH = -log[H⁺] = 2.87

Given 0.500 moles of H₂, how many grams of NH₃ would be produced?
Allisa [31]

Answer:

0.333 mol NH₃

Explanation:

N₂  +  3 H₂  ⇆  2 NH₃

This is the reaction that produces NH₃.  Use the mole ratios to solve.  For every 3 moles of H₂ that are consumed, 2 moles of NH₃ are produced.

(0.500 mol H₂) × (2 mol NH₃/3 mol H₂) = 0.333 mol NH₃

You will produce 0.333 moles of NH₃.

Enumerate any two differences between simple distillation and fractional distillation.
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

By simple distillation, we can separate tow miscible liquids having sufficient difference in their boiling points.

By fractional distillation, we can separate the mixture of two or more miscible liquids for which the difference in their boiling point is less than 25k

Simple distillation is done using an air condenser or water condenser.

Fractionating column is fitted in between the distillation flask and the condenser for the process.

Simple distillation eg: mixture of water and acetone

fractional distillation eg: crude oil

hope this helps
