Answer and explanation:

The nervous and the endocrine system are fundamental to the correct functioning of the body as they regulate and coordinate all of its function - the nervous system does so by using <u>neurotransmitters</u><u> that are transported by the nerves to the places that need that stimulus</u>, while the endocrine system has glands that produce <u>hormones</u><u> that travel through the blood in order to reach a specific destination</u>.

They are similar in how there's an <u>organ that controls the whole process</u>: in the nervous system, that's the brain; in the endocrine system, that role is mostly played by the hypophysis (also called pituitary gland).

Since hormones easily travel through the blood, <u>the endocrine system has no need for direct connections like the nervous system does</u>. Hormones are also very specific -they only act on certain cells-, while <u>neurotransmitters are much more ambiguous</u>. The time that takes each stimulus to reach its destination also differs in these two systems: <u>the nervous system is much faster than the endocrine system</u>.

Answer:

Similarity

Both nervous and endocrine system are similar in a way that they perform the regulatory function in the body and act as regulator in various body functions.

Difference

1. nervous  system uses  electrical impulses (neural)for signaling while endocrine system  uses chemical signals called hormones, which travel through the bloodstream and control the actions of cells and organs.

2. The nervous system can respond quickly to stimuli, through the use of action potentials and neurotransmitters. Responses to nervous system stimulation are typically quick but short lived. The endocrine system responds to stimulation by secreting hormones into the circulatory system that travel to the target tissue.

Cells must use energy to move a substance against a concentration gradient i.e., from a compartment with a low concentration of
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

Transport of sodium ions out of the cell

Transport of potassium into the cells

Transport of calcium ions out of cell

Transport of calcium ions OUT OF the cytoplasm of a cell and INTO an organelle that has a high concentration of calcium ions.

Explanation:

In general the concentration of sodium ion is higher outside the cell in the extracellular fluid and the concentration of potassium ion is higher inside the cell.

During an active transport, a cell uses energy to move molecules against the gradient as a part of primary active transport. In the secondary active transport, the molecules move as per the electrochemical gradient established by the primary active transport.

In primary active transport, sodium ion moves out of the cell and potassium ion moves into the cell through the assistance of sodium potassium pump. In order to maintain the stability, calcium ion from the sarcoplasmic reticulum is pumped out of the cell

Hence , the correct answers are

Transport of sodium ions out of the cell

Transport of potassium into the cells

Transport of calcium ions out of cell

Transport of calcium ions OUT OF the cytoplasm of a cell and INTO an organelle that has a high concentration of calcium ions.
