How might a limited resource, such as food, affect the survival of an individual organism? How might a severe limitation affect

the long-term survival of a species?

When food is in limited supply, there will be an increase in competition among individuals of species that consume that food. As the food becomes more limited, the species population will become smaller, since there is not enough food. A severe limitation, for a prolonged time, would likely cause the remaining members to die out of that area, unless the species makes an adaptation that would allow them to survive.

We use the classification system when grouping organisms, which are very diverse. which of these is the subgroup with the least
garik1379 [7]

We use the classification system when grouping organisms, which are very diverse. The sub-group with the least amount of diversity is the species. The measure of diversity in this classification will of the variation in genome and physical characteristics. The species have a slight variation in the genome and phenotype compared to the amount of variation in a genus, where related species are clubbed together. The amount of diversity increases from the nodes of a classification tree to its root or parent (kingdom).

"They will be able to better understand how, exactly, the creature is able to adapt so well to different environments" Expand on
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

Please see below

Explanation:

Adapting to the surrounding environment is a critical part of surviving and, eventually, evolution. Take mice as an instance. Their coat color plays a major role in allowing to go undetected from potential predators if they are able to blend in well with the surrounding environment. Mice with a coat color that makes them stand out will be easily preyed on. Hence, those who have adapted to their environmental conditions will live to pass on their genes. This phenomenon is known as selection pressure.
