Answer: 672

1. You need to find the arena of the missing piece so with the 40 on top you will subtract 12 which will give you 28

2. To find the other side subtract 28-12 to get 16 then you will multiple then together to get 448

3. Now just Multiply 40 and 28 to get 1120

4. Subtract 1120 and 448 and you’ll get the answer of 672

Major league baseball salaries averaged $3.26 million with a standard deviation of $1.2 million in a the past year. Suppose a sa
strojnjashka [21]

Answer:

0.015 is the approximate probability that the mean salary of the 100 players was less than $3.0 million

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following information in the question:

Mean, μ =$3.26 million

Standard Deviation, σ = $1.2 million 100

We assume that the distribution of salaries is a bell shaped distribution that is a normal distribution.

Formula:

z_{score} = \displaystyle\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

Standard error due to sampling =

\displaystyle\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}} = \frac{1.2}{\sqrt{100}} = 0.12

P(mean salary of the 100 players was less than $3.0 million)

P(x < 3) = P(z < \displaystyle\frac{3-3.26}{0.12}) = P(z < -2.167)

Calculating the value from the standard normal table we have,

P(Z < -2.167) = 0.015 \\P( x < 3) = 1.5\%

0.015 is the approximate probability that the mean salary of the 100 players was less than $3.0 million

Jack charges $40 initial fee plus $30 an hour to work on vehicles. Mark charges $25 an hour with a $50 initial fee. to work on v
joja [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A.)

Let the equal number of hours be represented by variable h;

The two equations will be as follows;

Jack; 40 +30h

Mark; 50 +25h

Next, equate them;

40 + 30h= 50 + 25h

30h - 25h = 50 - 40

5h = 10

h =10/5

h = 2

Therefore, they charge the same amount at 2 hrs.

B.) The amount charged;

Replace the variable H in any of the two equations above with 2 to solve for the amount.

Equation 40+30h = 40 + (30*2)

=40 + 60

= $100
