Answer:

a. The Company's contribution margin is $10,476 millions

b. The Company's contribution margin ratio is 27%

c. The Income from operations will increase $621 millions

Explanation:

In order to calculate Wicker Company's contribution margin we have to use the following formula:

contribution margin=Sales- Variable costs

Sales=$38,800 millions

Variable costs=Food and packaging+Payroll+40%General, selling, and administrative expenses

Hence, Variable costs=$16,284+$9,800+40%($5,600)=$28,324 millions

a. Therefore, contribution margin=$38,800-$28,324=$10,476 millions

In order to calculate the contribution margin ratio we would have to use the following formula:

contribution margin ratio=<u>contribution margin</u> × 100

                                                    Sales

contribution margin ratio=<u>$10,476 </u> × 100

                                           $38,800 millions

b. contribution margin ratio=27%

In order to calculate how much would income from operations increase if same-store sales increased by $2,300 million for the coming year, with no change in the contribution margin ratio or fixed costs, we have to make the followinf calculation:

$2,300 million×0.27=$621 millions

c. Income from operations will increase $621 millions

Alexxandr [17]
The answer for this is <span>freight-out
</span>The entry to record the payment of freight costs for goods shipped to a customer requires a debit to Freight-out and a credit to cash. Freight-out is not part of the cost of inventory; it is a delivery expense and appears among the operating expenses on the income statement.
<span>In contrast, freight-in is used to record the shipping costs associated with acquiring inventory (note: when using a perpetual inventory system, the shipping cost associated with acquiring inventory is debited to Inventory).</span>

Answer:

Taylor can withdrawn 1,374.20 dollars each month

Explanation:

Timeline:

deposits of 444 for 20 years =   withdrawals of X for 15 years

We must calcualte amount to satisfy:

future value of his deposits = present value of his withdrawals

We first need to get the future value of the retirement account

and then the PMT this fund can do.

444 \times \frac{(1+0.003333333)^{240} -1}{0.003333333} = FV\\

FV $162,847.9340

<u>withdrawals PMT:</u>

Tom Cruise Lines Inc. issued bonds five years ago at $1,000 per bond. These bonds had a 25-year life when issued and the annual
Dmitrij [34]

<u>Solution and Explanation:</u>

Required Return after 5 year =  Real rate of return +   Inflation premium + Risk premium

Required Return after 5 year = 5+2+4

Required Return after 5 year =11%

No of year left to maturity = 25

Annual Interest payment = 15%*1000 = 150

Face value of Bond = 1000

New price of the bond = pv (rate, nper, pmt, fv)

New price of the bond = pv (11%,25,150,1000)

New price of the bond = $ 1336.87
