Compare and contrast "Nature" versus "Nurture".
9966 [12]

Answer:

The nature viewpoint believes much of human behavior is instinctual in origin, and carried through heredity which is based on genetics. Behavior is passed along to children from their parents. Proponents of the nature viewpoint claim that instinctual drives were responsible for practically everything, even the creation of society itself. Because it is instinctual, it is an unchanging, biologically inherited behavior pattern.. The nurture viewpoint is that a person’s behavior and personality are the result of his or her social environment and learning. Ivan Pavlov helped this viewpoint gain acceptance with the experiment teaching the dog to respond to a bell. Despite the differences, most social scientists believe that personality and social behavior result from a blending of heredity and social environmental influences.

larisa [96]

Answer:

Cognitive dissonance

Explanation:

Cognitive dissonance was proposed by Leon Fe-stinger. Cognitive dissonance is related to conflicts between belief, attitude, and behavior of a person. This process produces mental discomfort in a person. If a person is not satisfied create discomfort in person related to their belief, attitude, and behavior.

For is example a person does smoke where smoking is injurious to health. Smoking is behavior and smoke causes cancer is cognition so they are the people who are in cognitive dissonance.

So that George is in discomfort state because of his thinking that he is honest and his brother reminds him about his behavior in the past.
