Let the width be w

Width = w
Length = w + 6
Area = a

a = w(w + 6)
a = w² + 6w

Answer: a = w² + 6w

Describe the relationship between compound interest and exponential growth
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

Relationship between compound interest and exponential growth

C.I = P[(1 + \frac{R}{100})^{n} - 1]

where, P =Principal

R =Rate of interest, n= Duration i.e time interval for which money has been taken, C.I =Compound Interest

Exponential growth = A (1+\frac{K}{100})^s

Where , A=Initial value of population, K= Rate at which population is declining in percentage, s=total time between starting population and final population

Now , If you compare between Exponential growth and compound interest

P→(Replaced by)→A,

R→(Replaced by)→K,

n→(Replaced by)→s,

As C.I is calculated for money, and Exponential word is used for both money as well as increase in population.

So, just replacing keeping the meaning same

C.I = P[(1 + \frac{R}{100})^{n}]  - P

→Compound Interest = Exponential growth - Initial Value(either money or any population considered)

A sphere just fits inside a cube with edges 20 in. Long. What is the volume of the sphere? What is the volume of the cube? What
yuradex [85]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of a cube = (side)³

                              = (20)³

                              = 8000 cubic in.

Volume of the sphere which just fits in = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

Here, r = Radius of the sphere

Since, sphere just fits in, radius of the sphere = half of the dimension of the cube

r = \frac{20}{2}

r = 10 in

Therefore, volume of the sphere = \frac{4}{3}\pi (10)^3

                                                        = 4188.79 cubic inch

Volume of the space between the cube and sphere = 8000 - 4188.79

                                                                                       = 3811.21 cubic inch

What are the meaning for those
Tatiana [17]
The mean means average. To find it, add together all of your values and divide by the number of addends. The median is the middle number of your data set when in order from least to greatest. The mode is the number that occurred the most often. The range is the difference between the highest and lowest values.

A store sells cards on each of which there are drawing of different flowers: either roses, either daisies, either tulips, either
valkas [14]

The greatest number of different cards based on the permutations is 144.

<h3>How to compute the value?</h3>

From the information given, there are 4 versions which are either roses, daisies, tulips, or sunflowers and this is further divided into either Happy birthday, anniversary, or holidays.

Therefore, the greatest number of different cards will be:

= 4! × 3!

= 24 × 6

= 144
