Biome is basically an ecological areas in which flora and fauna have originated or inhabited as per the environmental conditions prevailing in it. The common describing characteristics of biome are temperature, climate, geology, soil, vegetation and animals.

It’s a geographical area that can occur is any part of the world with similar conditions. If we look the types of biome we can realize that biome types including desert, aquatic, forest, grassland and tundra can occur anywhere on the planet earth.
