The information contained within the gene is copied into a new molecule by the process of transcription. Transcription is a process by which the information from one strand of DNA is copied into a new molecule called messenger RNA or mRNA. Even though mRNA contains the same information it is not the exact copy of the DNA segment. Whereas the function of tRNA is to carry amino acids to ribosome during the transcription hence it does not carry any genetic information where as rRNA combines with the set of proteins to form ribosomes.
