Hello!

First of all, let's convert these mixed numbers into improper fractions. To find the numerator we multiply the denominator by the whole number and add the numerator. We write the number out of the original denominator.

4(2)=8
8+1=9
9/4

3(9)=27
27+1=28
28/9

Now we multiply as shown below.

\frac{9}{4}·\frac{28}{9}

We can cancel out diagonal terms.

\frac{1}{1}( \frac{7}{1})=7

Therefore, our answer is 7.

I hope this helps!

2 1/4 times 3 1/9

Make the fractions into decimals

So now it’s 2.25 times 3.11...

Multiply that to get 6.99 but since the 3.11... is a repeated sequence you would round it to 7, which is your answer!

a map has a scale 1: 50000. The distance between two towns on the map is 10cm. How far apart are the towns in real lfe . Give yo
GREYUIT [131]

Answer:

5 km

Step-by-step explanation:

the scans means that any distance on the map is 50000 times larger in real life.

so, 10 cm on the map is

10×50000 = 500000 cm in real life.

now, we know that 100cm = 1 m

so, it is 500000/100 = 5000 m in real life.

and there are 1000 m in 1 km.

so, it is 5000/1000 = 5 km in real life
