Last night, a couple left their car parked on the street outside their house, just as they always do. In the morning, they disco

vered someone had broken into their car. Not much was missing: just a few dollars in change, a baseball hat, and some tools from the trunk. Reporting the crime to the police will make them late for work, and they aren’t likely to get their things back.
Why might it be valuable to the police or community for them to report the crime anyway? Would you report the crime if you were one of the couple involved? Why or why not?

Answer:

It would be valuable to everyone because it could happen again to someone and they would get away with it. I would personally report the crime because I believe in getting justice and helping others out.

A. If you were the Garrett family's attorney, what arguments would you make at the trial? What
hjlf

Answer:

Since Mrs Garrett had died suffering from lung cancer as a result of having been smoking cigarettes for 20 years, suing ABC Tobacco Company I'd have argued that it was these cigarettes from the aforementioned company that resulted in her developing a cancer of the lungs and subsequently dying from it. As evidence, I would present her medical reports that state clearly and without a shadow of doubt that the cause of death in her case was indeed lung cancer.
