Answer: The desire to explore the unknown. Natural obstacles, lack of food and hygiene supplies. Discovering new parts of the country will contribute to the expansion of cartographic, geographical and climatic conditions.

Explanation:

  • <em>"I was always drawn to the desire for the unknown. I loved to study maps, and as a kid, I got a compass, which was my favourite toy. As I grew older, my love grew. I met several people who had a passion for the same as I did. It is natural for man to search for answers, and we have had so many questions.</em>
  • <em>The journey was not comfortable, our expedition of twenty men consisted of guides, soldiers, paramedics, porters, anyone who could come well on their way to the unknown was welcome. The road was not easy. We had to overcome many natural obstacles. Rivers, hills, overgrown rainforests and dangerous animals. All of this was an obstacle. The harvest is wild and untamed. Highs and lows were alternating. Some were exhausted, sick, but somehow we kept going.</em>
  • <em>Eventually, we succeeded. A biologist who has been on our expedition has discovered several plants and animal species characteristic only of that part of the country. Our map was now filled. We learned about the new rivers we had charted, the mountains and the forests. We also learned about the climatic conditions in the newly discovered areas. Knowledge of our country has dramatically expanded. And my name and the names of the people in my expedition will remain in history. "</em>

<u>Full question:</u>

People scoring high on the ________ dimension of the Big Five model are more likely to be socially dominant, "take charge" people than those who score low.

A) agreeableness

B) conscientiousness

C) openness

D) extraversion

E) emotional stability

<u>Answer:</u>

People scoring high on the extraversion dimension of the Big Five model are more likely to be socially dominant, "take charge" people than those who score low.

<u>Explanation:</u>

Extraverts lead to be more satisfied in their careers and their lives as a mass. They encounter added positive passions and they more easily formulate these attitudes. They also perform to achieve better in responsibilities that need vital interpersonal cooperation.

Ultimately, extraversion is a comparatively powerful predictor of administration evolution in organizations; extraverts are more humanly authoritative, "take charge" kinds of characters, and they are commonly more aggressive than introverts. Elenna [48]

According to research by Taylor and her colleagues (1984), <u>perceived control</u> is likely to reduce stress related to a negative life event such as cancer.

Explanation:

Shelley Taylor and her colleagues contributed to the effects of perceived control in the treatment of cancer.

Perceived control is the feeling or a belief by a person which determines his/her own inner state or behavior and influence and modify his/her or one’s own environment in order to bring about the desired outcome.

In the treatment of cancer, perceived control of behavior acts as a control strategy to deal with the immense amount of stress it causes to a person. This provides emotional well being and stability by enhancing the ability and preparing a person to cope up with the stress.

This in turn makes him/her to be mentally strong to bear the stress, feel less pain, and to be supportive with the treatment. This also reduces the impact of stress on physiological parameters like blood pressure, heart rate etc and improves the overall health of the patient.

Perceived control can also be used to cope with stress induced by negative life events like loss of someone dear, joblessness, marital or relational issues, chronic diseases etc
