I think c. think about it like squishing the cylinder to make it turn into a cone. it would end up being longer on the outside then originally. I'm not so sure about the base, but I think it would end up being the same as it originally was. since choice c shows that 4.5 is the radius of the circle and to find circumference you must multiply the ladies times two, the radius would end up equal to the original cylander

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

ΔABE and ΔACD are similar hence the ratios of corresponding sides are equal, that is

\frac{AB}{AC} = \frac{AE}{ED} = \frac{BE}{CD}

Using the first pair of ratios then

\frac{20}{5} = 4 = \frac{26}{ED}, hence

4ED = 26 ( divide both sides by 4 )

ED = 6.5 cm

------------------------------------------------------------------

(b)

Similarly

\frac{BE}{18} = 4, hence

BE = 4 × 18 = 72 cm
