In order to do that you need to do multiplication so for the first person to be chosen there are a total of 12 people so you start with 12 in your equation
then you have 11 people left for the second person so your equation becomes 12x11
there are 10 people for the third: 12x11x10
9 for the fourth
and 8 for the fifth
so your equation becomes: 12x11x10x9x8= 95,040 different groups of 5

It is the product of the number of choices for each selection...

12*11*10*9*8=95040

How to solve Y = eight, X =2 and direct variation
rodikova [14]

Answer:

The answer is k = 4.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Y = 8 and X = 2.

Now, to solve direct variation.

y direct with x.

Now, using equation to solve direct variation:

y=kx

8=k\times 2

Dividing both sides by 2 we get:

4=k.

Therefore, the answer is k = 4.
