A professional basketball court is in the shape of rectangle. It is 50 feet wide and 84 feet long.A player runs one time around
JulsSmile [24]
The court is the shape of a rectangle, so that means 2 sides are 50 feet and 2 sides are 84 feet
 if a player ran around the edge he ran 50 + 50 + 84 + 84 = 268 feet total

ABC stock sold for $64.50 four days later the same stock sold for $47.10 what is the average change per day?
Masteriza [31]
64.50-.10=64.40
64.40-47=17.4
(my way of working math when i'm not in school is weird, but still accurate)

17.4/4=4.35.

It's average change per day is -4.35.

George charged a motorized bicycle on his credit card for $2,000 on June 12. His balance before that purchase on that credit car
Gnesinka [82]
The calculation uses the accumulated daily balance method (ADB).
We assume the statement is based on calendar month (rare!).

George owes $500 from beginning to end of June, so 30 days out of 30.
Interest accrued is 500*0.013*30/30=$6.50.
He also owes $2000 from June 12 to June 30, so 19 days inclusively.
Interest accrued is $2000*.013*(19/30)=16.47
Total interest at the end of the month=$6.50+$16.47=$22.97

What is another way to find the distance between two points on a coordinate plane besides the Pythagorean theorem?
dezoksy [38]
The other way is to use a very accurate ruler, and measure the
distance between the two points on the paper.  Alternatively, if
you have it on the computer, you can blow up the image on the
screen and measure it very precisely.

If you don't want to measure it, and you want to use the coordinates
of the points to calculate it, then any method you use is going to boil
down to the Pythagorean Theorem.
