Answer:   The distance is 9.17 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Alright, lets get started.

Please refer the diagram I have attached.

There is the ramp given of length 10 feet.

The height is 4 feet , lifted to the truck door.

It meas, the triangle formed is right triangle.

So, we can use Pythagorean theorem in this triangle.

As per Pythagorean theorem,  c^2=a^2+b^2

10^2=4^2+x^2

100=16+x^2

x^2=100-16

x^2=84

Taking square root on both sides

x=9.17

hence the distance is 9.17 feet.    :   Answer

Hope it will help :)

If √2 = 1.414 then the value of 5+√2 / 5-√2 is
Gala2k [10]

Answer:

1.787

Step-by-step explanation:

\\  \sf \frac{5 +  \sqrt{2} }{5 -  \sqrt{2} }  \times  \frac{5 +  \sqrt{2} }{5  +   \sqrt{2} }

\\   \sf =  \frac{(5 +  \sqrt{2}) }{5 -  \sqrt{2} }  \times  \frac{(5 +  \sqrt{2}) }{5 +  \sqrt{2} }

\\  \sf =  \frac{25 + 5 \sqrt{2 } + 5 \sqrt{2} + 2  }{( {5})^{2}  - ( \sqrt{ {2}})^{2} }

\\  \sf =  \frac{27 + 10 \sqrt{2} }{25 - 2}

\\  \sf =  \frac{27 - 10 \sqrt{2} }{23}

Now putting the value of√2

\\  \sf =  \frac{27 + 10 \times 1.414}{23}

\\  \sf =  \frac{27 + 14.14}{23}

\\  \sf =  \frac{41.14}{23}

\\ \sf = 1.787
