Interpersonal skills. Someone under the stress of planning and examining bodies for funerals must be able to avoid getting emotional.
Mental and body strength. It’s important when working with the deceased to be of sound mental and physical health. The job can be physiologically damaging to those lacking in comfortable mental and physical strength.
