Answer:

Mitosis is the process of cell division in which a single parent cell divides into two daughter cells. The mitosis is also known as equational division in which the chromosome number remains same after the division.

The study of mitosis can be used for the knowledge of cancer. The study of mitosis explains that at which step of cell cycle, the cancer cell has arises. The  mutation of a particular protein involved in cell division can be studied by mitosis. Anti- cancerous drugs can be developed by studying the each and every stage of mitosis.

By studying mitosis scientists have learned how cells divide. Mitosis is the process by which cells reproduce, and without it cancer cells wouldn't be able to form tumors and spread throughout the body
