Remember that the volume of a cone is 1/3 \pi r^2h
Thus;

1. 2^2 = 4
4pi(7) = 28pi
28/3 = 9 \frac{1}{3}
ANS = 9 \frac{1}{3}  \pi or ~29.32

2. d = 18, r = 9
9 ^ 2 = 81
81pi (18) = 1458pi
1458 / 3 = 486
ANS = 486 \pi or ~1526.81

Jack was finding the special product of a perfect square binomial. Check Jack’s work and identify the mistake that he made, and
julsineya [31]

Answer:

D) Jack made a mistake while squaring first term, 16x^2 - 8x +1

Step-by-step explanation:

(4x-1)^2

we apply (a-b)^2 formula

(a-b)^2 = a^2 - 2ab +b^2

a= 4x  and b= 1

Replace 'a' with 4x  and 'b' with 1

(4x-1)^2 = (4x)^2 - 2(4x)(1) +1^2

(4x)^2 is 16x^2

(4x-1)^2 = 16x^2 - 8x +1

Jack made a mistake while squaring first term

(4x)^2 is 4^2x^2 that is 16x^2

If the perimeter of a rectangle is 140 meters and the length is 5 meters less than 4 times the width, then what are the dimensio
ValentinkaMS [17]

Length (L): 4w - 5

width (w): w

Perimeter (P) = 2L + 2w

              140 = 2(4w - 5) + 2(w)

              140 = 8w - 10 + 2w

              140 = 10w - 10

               150 = 10w

                15 = w

Length (L): 4w - 5   = 4(15) - 5   = 60 - 5   = 55

Answer: width= 15meters, length=55 meters

Create a formula to the sequence 2,8,14...
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

a_n = 2+6(n-1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Explicit Arithmetic Formula: a_n=a_1 + d(n-1)

a₁ is 1st term in sequence

d is common difference

n is term number

Step 1: Find d

d = 8 - 2 = 6

Step 2: Plug in variables into formula

a_n = 2+6(n-1)

Michael says that 5(1/5^3) = 5(5^3) is his answer correct explain.
kow [346]
Answer: His answer is wrong

Explanation:

5(1/5^3) = 5(1^3/5^3) = 5(1/125)
5(5^3) = 5(125)

Let’s compare:

5(1/125) < 5(125)

Because 1/125 is smaller 125
Thus, it is not equal.
