Solve the triangle if c = 10 and A = 50 degrees

Mathematics

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Since A = 50 degrees, c = 10 ,and since it is a right Triangle, then C = 90 degrees and so B = 180 - (90 +50)......... sum of angles of a triangle

                            B = 180 - 140

                             B = 40 degrees

Using sine rule : a/sin A = b / sin B = c / sin C

To calculate a, then we use a/ sin A = c / sin C , since we know c and C

i.e a/ sin 50 = 10 / sin 90

recall that sin 90  = 1

then we have a / sin 50 = 10 / 1

cross multiply

a = 10 x sin 50

 a = 10 x 0.76604

  a = 7.6604

We will calculate b following the same procedure

b/ sin B = c / sin C

b/ sin 40 = 10/ sin 90

b/ sin 40 = 10/ 1

           b = 10 x sin 40

            b = 10 x 0.64279

             b = 6.4279

Therefore a ≈7.6604  , b ≈ 6.4279

Does the table represent an exponential function? Explain.
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

No, because as the x-values are increasing by a constant amount, the y-values are not being multiplied by a constant amount.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have a set of ordered pairs of the form (x, y)

If a function is exponential then the ratio between the consecutive values of y, is always equal to a constant.

This means that:

\frac{y_2}{y_1}=\frac{y_3}{y_2}=\frac{y_4}{y_3}=by1y2=y2y3=y3y4=b

This is: y_2=by_1y2=by1

Now we have this set of points {(-1, -5), (0, -3), (1, -1), (2, 1)}

Observe that:

\begin{gathered}\frac{y_2}{y_1}=\frac{-3}{-5}=\frac{3}{5}\\\\\frac{y_3}{y_2}=\frac{-1}{-3}=\frac{1}{3}\\\\\frac{3}{5}\neq \frac{1}{3}\end{gathered}y1y2=−5−3=53y2y3=−3−1=3153=31

Then the values of y are not multiplied by a constant amount "b"

What is the value of 8/9 divided by 5/12?
bulgar [2K]

Answer: 96/45

Step-by-step explanation: The answer is 96/12 because to divide fractions you reciprocate the second fraction and turn it into a multiplication problem.

8 times 12 = 96

9 times 5 = 45

96/45

Explanation:

When something is subtracted from both sides of the equation, the justification is the <em>subtraction property of equality</em>. When something multiplies both sides of the equation, the justification is the <em>multiplication property of equality</em>. (This should not be a mystery.)

Here, the equation is solved by subtracting 17/3, then subtracting 1/2x, then multiplying by the inverse of the coefficient of x. After each of these steps is a simplification.

  \begin{array}{cc}\dfrac{17}{3}-\dfrac{3}{4}x=\dfrac{1}{2}x+5&\text{given}\\\\\dfrac{17}{3}-\dfrac{3}{4}x-\dfrac{17}{3}=\dfrac{1}{2}x+5-\dfrac{17}{3}&\text{subtraction property ...}\\\\-\dfrac{3}{4}x=\dfrac{1}{2}x-\dfrac{2}{3}&\text{simplify}\\\\-\dfrac{3}{4}x-\dfrac{1}{2}x=\dfrac{1}{2}x-\dfrac{2}{3}-\dfrac{1}{2}x&\text{subtraction property ...} \end{array}

  \begin{array}{cc}-\dfrac{5}{4}x=-\dfrac{2}{3}&\text{simplify}\\\\-\dfrac{5}{4}x\times-\dfrac{4}{5}=-\dfrac{2}{3}\times-\dfrac{4}{5}&\text{multiplication property ...}\\\\x=\dfrac{8}{15}&\text{simplify} \end{array}

Let A = {Dirk, Johan, Frans, Sarie}, B = {Frans, Sarie, Tina, Klaas, Henrika}, C = {Hans, Frans}. Find the number indicated.
vovangra [49]
Thank you for posting your question here at brainly. I assume the question should be "<span>Find the number indicated". below is the answers:

</span>B U C means B union C which combines them:
<span>{Frans, Sarie, Tina, Klaas, Henrika, Hans} note that there is no need to write Frans twice. </span>

<span>∩ means intersection which is only what the two sets have in common, in this case: </span>
<span>{Frans, Sarie} </span>

<span>the number is 2. </span>
