Gamma-aminobutyric acid is also known as GABA. It look as if to decrease synaptic transmission and is actually used in drugs called GABAergic drugs or GABA analogues. These drugs are used as hypnotics, anticonvulsants, tranquillizers and sedatives which seems related to be a depressant type of drug.

A man with DMD cannot transfer the affected gene to his sons since he passes to his son a Y chromosome, not the X chromosome. But he will definately transfer it to his daughters, since each daughter possess her father’s only X chromosome resulting in the daughters being carriers.

Hence, One-half of the daughters of an affected father and a carrier mother could have this condition.

Secondly, since it can not photosynthesize, it can't be a plant because all plants can photosynthesize. The presence of a cell wall tells us that it can't be an animal cell since they lack cell walls. Therefore, the organism found is a fungus-like protist. Fungi are prokaryotic cells that are unable to photosynthesize and they have cell walls.
