Answer:

The net force on the middle wire will be zero.

Explanation:

Given:

There are three vertical wires. The wires to the left and in the middle have a current flowing vertically up and the wire to the right has a current vertically down.

Consider the figure shown. Let's assume that the magnitude of current in each wire is I and each wire is situated at a distance r from each other.

The magnetic field on the middle wire due to the wire in left is directed perpendicularly inward to the screen, as shown in the diagram. The magnetic field on the middle wire due to the wire in the right is directed perpendicularly outward to the screen, as shown in the diagram.

The force on the wire in the middle due to the left one is given by

F_{21} = \dfrac{\mu_{0}I^{2}}{2 \pi r}

where \mu_{0} is the permeability of free space.

The direction of the force is towards the wire in the left, as shown in the figure.

The force on the wire in the middle due to the right one is given by

F_{23} = \dfrac{\mu_{0}I^{2}}{2 \pi r}

The direction of the force is towards the wire in the right, as shown in the figure.

As the magnitude of the forces are equal but the directions are opposite to each other, the net force on the middle wire will be zero.

Personality theorists often focus on ________________.
raketka [301]

Personality theorists often focus on differences in individuals.

Answer: Option A

Explanation:

According to the personality psychology, personality scientists study personality and its variations amongst the individuals. They often focus on the thoughts, judgements and social behaviour of the individuals that they exhibit over time. With these observations, they form a report which better conclude their mental and emotional state.

By studying different types of personalities and respective behaviour, personality theorists are able to predict the diversity in human nature and that whether a person is mentally and emotionally healthy. If not, theorists conduct therapies to get them in order and hence, lead a more meaningful and healthy life.

Explain the differences between the geocentric theory of the universe and the heliocentric theory
Margarita [4]

Geocentric Theory

In astronomy, the geocentric model is a superseded description of the Universe with Earth at the center. Under the geocentric model, the Sun, Moon, stars, and planets all orbited Earth

Heliocentric Theory

Heliocentrism is the astronomical model in which the Earth and planets revolve around the Sun at the center of the Solar System. Historically, heliocentrism was opposed to geocentrism, which placed the Earth at the center

G-Theory is the earth is the center of the universe.

H-Theory is the sun is the center of the universe.

Earth distance to the Sun is about 40 times the Moon's distance from earth.

Explanation:

 • The Earth's distance from the Sun is about 93 million miles. When it expressed in Km, it is 150 million Km.
 • The Moon's distance from Earth is 238,855 miles. When it is 40 times then it will approximately equal to 93 million miles.
 • The Sun's distance from Venus is 67.237 million miles. The Sun's distance from mercury is 35.832 million miles.

A 20 kg cart moving at 4 m/s has how much momentum?
masha68 [24]

Answer:

We conclude that the required momentum is 80 kgm/s.

Explanation:

Given

 • Mass m = 20 kg
 • Velocity v = 4 m/s

To determine

The momentum p = ?

Important Tip:

 • The momentum of an object is the product of mass and velocity.

We can determine the momentum using the formula

p = mv

where

 • p is the momentum
 • m is the mass
 • v is the velocity

now substituting m = 20 and v = 4 using the equation

p = mv

p = (20) (4)

p = 80 kg m/s

Therefore, we conclude that the required momentum is 80 kgm/s.
