Answer:

$88.20

Step-by-step explanation:

The sale price of the telescope = $126.00

Discount on the sale price  = 30%

The price after discount = 126 - (30% of 126)

                                         = 126 - (\frac{30}{100}\times 126)

                                         = 126 - (0.30 × 126)

                                         = 126 - 37.80

                                         = $88.20

The discounted price of the telescope would be $88.20.

30% of $126 is $88.20
I got the answer by converting 30% into a decimal, then multiply it by the sale price $126 which I got $37.80, lastly I subtract it from the sale price and it comes out to $88.20

Step-by-step explanation:

The first one (f×g)(x) is asking you what is f of x times g of x. This means you multiply the function. You can multiply by the first term (5x) then the second (3) and combine like terms.

{15x}^{2} (5x) =  {75x}^{3}   \\ 19x(5x)  = 95 {x}^{2} \\  6(5x)  = 30x

{15x}^{2} (3) = 45 {x}^{2}  \\ 19x(3) = 57x \\ 6(3) = 18

Combine like terms

{75x}^{3}  +  {95x}^{2}  +  {45x}^{2}  + 30x + 57x \\  + 18 = \\   {75x}^{3}  +  {140x}^{2}  + 87x + 18

The second one asks you to divide.

Factor out f(x):

{15x}^{2}  + 19x + 6

From dividing f(x) /g(x)

\frac{ {15x}^{2} + 19x + 6 }{5x + 3}

To

\frac{(5x + 3)(3x + 2)}{5x + 3}

Cancel like terms since (5x+3) is on top and bottom of fraction.

You get 3x+2

Describe how you can tell that a fraction corresponds to a repeating decimal and not a terminating decimal
horrorfan [7]
When a fraction corresponds to a repeating decimal, it's denominator is 9 or 99.

For example, 4/11 = 36/99 = 0.36 with bar notation over 36.

Example #2: 2/3 = 6/9 = 0.666....
or also written as 0.6 with bar notation over 6.

You know a fraction responds to a terminating decimal because it can be simplified to a terminating decimal.

Example: 2/4 = 0.5
